Ribbon Embellishments For Your Quilts or Craft Work.

Embellishments you may like to include in your quilt or craft projects.

1. Gathered Flowers: Formula Ribbon Widith x 10 Times Ribbon Length: With a double thread and mid range sewing needle straight stitch along one side of the ribbon edge then along the length edge and down the other edge. Next gather up the stitches and join the ends to form a gathered circle, knot off.





2. Leaf: Formula Ribbon widith x 6.5 times ribbon length: Fold the ribbon in half. With a double thread and mid range sewing needle straight stitch 1/8" in from the raw edges and knot at the end. Dont break off the thread continue stitching up the side off the ribbon thru the two layers of ribbon, at the end of the ribbon pull up the thread and gather up this row of stitch and knot off. Open up the two layers and slightly flatten out.


3. Small Bud Leaf. With a piece of approx 5cm to 6cm mark mid point with a firm finger crease. With ribbon laying out flat pick up one edge of ribbon and fold down on a angle, then fold the other half of ribbon across the diagonal fold. With a double thread and mid range needle stitch along the base of the ribbon and pull up tightly, wrap your thread around the base of the leaf 4 to 5 times and knot off.

Fabric Dying With Procion Dyes..

Found the Procion dye powders this afternoon, had to throw some out as they had moisture probs. Spent the evening dying fabrics....so much fun....its been ages since lv managed to put time aside to dye fabric.
Now to find the time to create with the fabric!!!!!
